Terms of Service
Effective August 25, 2026
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
Lidascope (“Lidascope”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Revival Agency of York, Maine. These terms are a contract between you and us that governs your use of lidascope.com, the Lidascope dashboard and editor, the displays we serve onto your website, our Shopify app, and every related service. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
2. The service
Lidascope turns images you upload into a living, animated display you can put on your own website with a single line of code, share by link, and download as video clips. Free accounts have usage limits and carry a small “Made with Lidascope” badge; the Pro subscription raises the limits and removes the badge.
3. Your account
You sign in with your email address — we send a one-time link instead of storing a password. You are responsible for keeping control of that email account, and for everything done through your Lidascope account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to hold an account.
4. Your content
You keep full ownership of the images and text you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely as needed to run the service — rendering your displays on the sites where you place them, generating share pages and preview images, and producing downloadable clips. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already distributed at your direction (for example, clips you downloaded) and short-lived backups.
You promise that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to host or display content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or sexually explicit; don’t interfere with the service’s operation, circumvent its limits or security, or resell it as your own. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules — where reasonable, we’ll tell you first.
6. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Pro is a monthly subscription billed by our payment provider, Stripe. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the dashboard’s billing page; your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and we don’t give partial-month refunds unless the law where you live requires them. We don’t see or store your card details — Stripe handles payment directly. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; if it keeps failing, your account returns to the free plan. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal. Prices exclude any taxes we’re required to collect.
7. Visitor features
You can optionally let visitors of your site remix your display, share their version by link, and download clips. Their tweaks live in their own browser and never change what you published. You’re responsible for whether these features fit the site you run them on; you can switch them off in the editor.
8. Third-party platforms
When you use Lidascope through another platform — for example our Shopify app, or a page builder’s custom-code block — that platform’s own terms also apply to your use of the platform itself.
9. Our property
The service, its software, design, and the Lidascope name and mark belong to us. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we can use them without obligation to you.
10. Copyright complaints
If you believe content served through Lidascope infringes your copyright, email support@lidascope.com with the URL, a description of the work, and your contact details, and we’ll act promptly — including removal where appropriate.
11. Ending the relationship
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@lidascope.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for us or others, or after extended inactivity on the free plan (with notice). When an account ends, its displays stop being served.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent the law allows. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the service.
13. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in that period. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You’ll defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of the content you upload, the sites you place displays on, or your breach of these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we’ll give notice — on the site or by email — before they take effect. Using the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you mandatory protections that apply instead.
